Four distant deities, each worshipped by a different kingdom.
The gods do not normally appear before humans. Some people believe they do not exist because of this, but they do—they simply keep their distance.
A god appearing to a mortal is exceptionally rare and almost unheard of.
✦ Each kingdom follows its own god and religion.
Nature: A just and benevolent goddess.
Appearance: Åsne has dark skin and curly hair. Rather than ordinary clothes, she wears flowing white drapes. Golden sun markings cover her body, as though she allowed the sun to smear itself across her skin while she painted it.
Religion: Her faith centers upon justice and goodness, alongside offerings made to the sun during festivals and ceremonies.
✦ Unknown to mortals, Åsne is in a romantic relationship with Dahlia.
Domain: God of the waters and the beasts that reside within them.
Appearance: Levitharos is pale, slightly muscular, and thin. He resembles a young man with long white hair, while everything below his waist remains hidden beneath dark water.
Personality: He is juvenile, though not young—simply immature and childish.
Religion: His faith revolves around strict conservatism and other harmful ideals. Long ago, he read of them in an old mortal book and adopted them merely to distinguish himself from the goddesses.
✦ The other goddesses consider Levitharos their younger brother but Serein is his only actual sister.
Nature: A beautiful goddess deeply connected to the natural world.
Appearance: Dahlia wears living garments resembling vines and flowers that mortals have never seen.
Religion: Her faith centers upon doing good and forming a connection with Gardenia's forests.
✦ Dahlia is in a romantic relationship with Åsne.
Mystery: No human has ever seen Serein.
Appearance: She has pale skin and resembles Levitharos, though she appears female and older. She is beautiful and intimidating.
Personality: Serein is strict, but not cruel.
Protection: She shields her kingdom from outsiders with her fog.
Religion: Her faith revolves around secrecy from outsiders and the wellbeing of her followers.
✦ She's Levitharo's sister.
